"In early 2011 we took the decision to buy my father-in-law’s property from his estate and get plans drawn up to extend the front of the house. We contacted a total of ten builders for estimates, some were recommended, most were local. After many meetings at the property we were left with four serious estimates, some of the other companies didn’t appear to want or need the work. After much consideration we chose Expand over the others, one of which was a family friend. Our reasons were simple. Gary was passionate about taking on the job, had a detailed knowledge when answering our questions and offered suggestions and ideas we hadn’t thought of. We moved into the property in October 2011 and Expand started work a few weeks later. Apart from a short break over Christmas they continued through until March of this year. Gary and Dan introduced us to an array of tradesmen including plumbers, electricians, plasterers and carpenters, all were professional, punctual and easy to get along with. That said, Gary and Dan did the majority of the building work including groundwork, brickwork, drainage and roofing. The project wasn’t a straight-forward extension by any means but the whole build went smoothly and although I work from home, I can honestly say on a day-to-day basis it was pleasure to have them around. The build came in on budget, looks fantastic and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone."
